The government has never been serious about tackling past human rights violations. Reconciliation is not a solution.

President Joko Widodo-Vice President Jusuf Kalla have been in power for four years. Nevertheless, promises to resolve human rights cases—stated in their Nawacita program—have been left untouched. Serious efforts have not been made, let alone the ‘total football’ approach that the president has applied to other matters such as infrastructure development.
