ALTHOUGH it has been two weeks, MR still hears the sound of bullets whizzing in his ears. At dawn on Wednesday, May 22, in Central Jakarta’s Petamburan area, those bullets just barely missed his right ear. He was unharmed, but his friend Muhammad Reyhan Fajari, who stood next to him, fell to the ground with a bullet hole on his left temple. “It was dark, the lights were out.
