Setya’s Shifting Sands

A few hours after Judge Cepi Iskandar revoked Setya Novanto’s suspect status in the corruption case involving the electronic ID cards (e-KTP) project at the South Jakarta District Court on the night of September 29, five commissioners of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) could be seen at the Bogor Presidential Palace.

One palace official said that the arrival of the commissioners was not on the day’s agenda, even though they had long requested an audience with the President.
