Corporate Targets

THE yearend gift for the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) came from the Supreme Court. Supreme Court Chief Justice Hatta Ali signed a regulation on processing corporate crimes, two weeks ago.

For the KPK, the Supreme Court Regulation No. 13/2016 will serve as new ammunition targeted at companies implicated in corruption cases. KPK Deputy Chairman Saut Situmorang said the KPK will promptly apply the rule to cases currently under process.…

Which Candidates Will Get the Agus-Sylvi Votes?

The quick counts of five polling groups indicated that running mates in the Jakarta governor’s election, Agus Yudhoyono and Sylviana Murni were eliminated in the first round last week. In the upcoming April runoff election, the Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama and Djarot Saiful Hidayat ticket will face running mates Anies Baswedan and Sandiaga Uno. Those who voted for Agus-Sylviana will determine the winner.
