The Last Breath of Polling Officers
TEN polling station working committee (KPPS) officers in West Java died at the time of and after executing their duties in the general elections on Wednesday, April 17.
The General Elections Commission (KPU) of West Java recorded that the officers came from several regions, including Garut, Tasikmalaya, Purwakarta and Ciamis.
West Java KPU Chairman Rifqi Ali Mubarok said the officers’ demise was purportedly due to exhaustion from their works. There was also an assumption that some of them died from feeling stressed out after receiving reports about ballot shortages in their places of assignment. “We...
