This week, the Constitutional Court will rule on the disputed general election and bring to a close the saga of the presidential election that has run for almost a year.
The Constitutional Court ruling is final and binding: the candidates have no further opportunities to challenge the election result. Therefore, after the ruling is issued, President Jokowi Widodo and his opponent, Prabowo Subianto will have to shake hands and end the contest.
