Youth and Sports Minister Zainudin Amali is not just assigned to improving governance of his ministry but also is the process of finalizing the national sports grand design. Focusing on the 14 key sports which include badminton and weightlifting, the blueprint is designed to improve the country’s performance up to the Olympic level.

MINISTER Zainudin Amali watched his aspiration to raise Indonesia’s ranking at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games fade away as the Indonesia contingent took the 55th position in the final counts after grabbing just one gold, one silver and three bronze medals. The contingent failed to surpass the achievements at the previous Olympics in Rio de Janeiro in which Indonesia ranked 46th.
