The government refuses to accept a win by citizens in a lawsuit regarding air pollution. This is wasting an opportunity to improve the air quality in the capital.
THE government’s move in rejecting the ruling about air pollution in Jakarta shows the poor attitude of those in power: arrogance towards its own people. Lodging an appeal would only lead to more delays before the people enjoy their right to clean air, and also reflects an aversion to criticism.
