COMPETING in the 34rd Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) Congress in Lampung, Yahya Cholil Staquf did not want any of the organization’s cadres to become presidential or vice-presidential candidates again. He saw that NU’s success in pushing Ma’ruf Amin as vice president in the 2019 General Election had the potential to be repeated. “The result can be dangerous for NU,” said Yahya in Jakarta, Monday, October 11.
