Indonesia’s Boeing Purchase Linked to Tariff Talks

The government assigned Garuda Indonesia to purchase 50 Boeing aircraft. The company still has a down payment on deposit.

A BOEING 737 MAX 8 ordered by state-owned airline Garuda Indonesia recently touched down on Indonesian soil. But this was not a brand-new jet. The leased aircraft previously flew for Lynx Air and Air Canada. Currently, the white fuselage is undergoing a repaint in Garuda’s signature blue and green livery before it takes to the skies under its new banner.
