SEVERAL soldiers were suspected of joining demonstrations that erupted into violence in late August 2025. Tempo obtained documents suggesting the involvement of military personnel in the unrest. One soldier was alleged to have recruited students through a WhatsApp group to vandalize a government office in Kendal Regency, Central Java.
