FOR nearly two months, Nandi Herdiman’s garment workshop in Majalaya, Bandung Regency, West Java, has sat idle. He halted production on purpose. Some 7,000 T-shirts and jerseys have piled up in his warehouse, unsold. “Online and offline markets are still dominated by cheap products from China,” said the General Chair of the Indonesian Association of Convection Entrepreneurs (IPKB) on Monday, October 13, 2025.
