MUCHAMMAD Romahurmuziy’s attempt to make Agriculture Minister Amran Sulaiman the General Chair of the United Development Party (PPP) was not reciprocated. Romy—as Romahurmuziy is known—repeatedly tried to persuade Amran to run in the 2025 PPP Congress. He had even floated the name of the businessman from Bone, South Sulawesi, before senior clerics as a candidate to lead the party marked by the Ka’bah symbol.
