UNDER the leadership of Jacklevyn Frits Manuputty, the Indonesian Communion of Churches (PGI) has rejected the food estate project in Merauke, South Papua, which the government has designated a National Strategic Project (PSN). The position was declared in Merauke on Monday, February 2, 2026. The PGI chair had previously also rejected a government permit granting churches the right to manage mining concessions.
