FORMER Jakarta Governor Anies Rasyid Baswedan has known Thomas Trikasih Lembong—better known as Tom Lembong—since 2005. At the time, both were in their thirties. Their relationship deepened over the years as they joined overseas programs and shared stages at international forums. Though not particularly close, they remained good friends for over a decade.
