New Name Linked to Nadiem Makarim’s Chromebook Corruption Case

A suspect in the Chromebook laptop graft scandal revealed Najelaa Shihab’s role. She was allegedly present in a meeting with Google alongside Nadiem Makarim.

ON his third round of questioning Friday, August 29, 2025, Ibrahim Arief—one of the suspects in the Chromebook laptop corruption case—finally spoke openly to investigators. To prosecutors at the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes Division (Jampidsus), Ibrahim claimed another name had provided input to Nadiem Anwar Makarim on the laptop project at the Ministry of Education and Culture.
