EVEN though four months had passed, the police had yet to close their investigation into the August 2025 demonstrations. On Friday afternoon, December 19, 2025, a joint team from the Bali Police and the National Police’s Criminal Investigation Department (Bareskrim) arrested Tomy Priatna Wiria and three others in Denpasar. The four were accused of acting as provocateurs in the protest that ended in riots.
