I HAVE a suggestion for my favorite magazine Tempo. It is a simple one: what if Tempo introduced short stories as a replacement for the Marginalia section? Marginalia feels no different from a standard column. That is a far cry from Goenawan Mohamad’s Sidelines. What is Tempo’s response?
