Conflict of Interests in the KUHAP Revision Discussions

TWELVE officials from four agencies gathered at the Law Ministry building, South Jakarta, on Tuesday, May 6, 2025. They represented the Law Ministry, the Indonesian National Police, the Attorney General’s Office (AGO), and the Supreme Court. Led by Deputy Law Minister Edward Omar Sharif Hiariej or Eddy Hiariej, the team formulated and negotiated the provisions in the revised draft of the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP).
