Prabowo Opposes the Impeachment of Pati Regent Sudewo

Pati Regent Sudewo was caught off guard by massive protests against a sharp hike in property taxes. President Prabowo does not want Sudewo to be impeached by the Pati Regional Legislative Council.

DURING the meeting of the Association of Indonesian Regency Governments (Apkasi) on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, Pati Regent Sudewo received support from fellow leaders. At the Apkasi Secretariat in Mega Kuningan, South Jakarta, Sudewo defended his decision to raise rural and urban property taxes (PBB-P2) by 250 percent.
