Pros and Cons over Indonesian History Rewriting

THE Ministry of Culture has launched an initiative to rewrite the history of Indonesia. Culture Minister Fadli Zon announced in early May that the project, which brings together 100 historians from various universities, is expected to be completed by August 17, 2025—coinciding with Indonesia’s 80th Independence Day.
