April 18, 1955 Physicist Albert Einstein dies in Princeton, New Jersey at the age of 76. Dr. Thomas Harvey, chief pathologist at Princeton Hospital, performs Einstein's autopsy. He removes the brain and takes it home. Einstein's brain is 15 percent larger than the normal human brain.
