Suwarno Wisetrotomo was considered to have been careless when he wrote the book on Hendra Gunawan, at the request of Agung Tobing, an art dealer. Suwarno wrote without checking first which of Hendra's paintings would be featured in the book.

Suwarno admits this, but he denies charges that his writings legitimized Hendra Gunawan's paintings, whose authenticity are being questioned. Tempo reporter Shinta Maharani interviewed Suwarno, a lecturer at t
