Not a Chinese Sundries Market
The presence of Indonesia’s fine art was strongly felt in the artfair China International Gallery Exposition (CIGE) 2008, which lasted from April 24 to 28. It showed the signs of life of a flourishing market for Indonesia’s fine art. The works of our artists were sold well but more profound ideas still need to be delved into.

THE group of Indonesia’s collectors was seen to be moving about in this venue. They were, among others, Deddy Kusuma and Rudi Akili. They approached a number of Indonesia’s galleries: Langgeng, Canna, Nadi, Vanessa, Artlink, and Linda, all featuring the works of our famous artists now gaining popularity.
