Romance in the Raw
Last June, at Usmar Ismail Hall in Jakarta, a flamenco group from Madrid, Spain, presented an impressive show. They came to mark the end of Spain’s six-year chairmanship of the European Community. The show featured a rich, complex and intense form of art produced especially by the gypsies of Andalusia, Southern Spain.
