Looking for the winner
The latest survey predicts that the 2004 General Elections will be won by a lineup of well-established political parties with Golkar in top place. Indonesias political landscape will apparently not change.

THE news was spread from the Sari Pan Pacific Hotel, Jakarta. Golkar will be the winner of the 2004 election, pulling in 21 percent of the vote. Below it will come the White Muzzle (the Indonesian Democratic Party of StrugglePDI-P), with 15 percent. Below this again, in decreasing order, will come the National Mandate (PAN), National Awakening (PKB), and United Development (PPP) parties.
