A Slam-Dunk Decision

A US Supreme Court decision shows the increased importance of guarantees on protection for individuals reporting a crime.

THE US Supreme Court issued an important decision at the end of last March. Witnesses who come forward and who find alleged irregularities within the institution where the reporting individual works, can now feel at ease. Their bosses may not take legal action against them, such as transferring an employee to another post, before the court has delivered a verdict.
