From Cheers to Tears
On Thursday morning, London was rocked by bombs which devastated three subway trains and a double-decker bus. According to figures obtained last Saturday morning, over 700 people were injured, and 53 had died. The rancid smell of blood, the thick smoke, and wails of mourning put a damper on the mood in the British capital. Less than a day earlier, there had been an outpouring of joy across London, after England was chosen to host the 2012 Olympics.
