THE Sharm el-Sheikh that I know is a happy and boisterous town. It turns red when the sea and mountains that surround it deflect the morning sun. It is a town that never sleeps.

When I heard that three bombs had exploded in Sharm el-Sheikh and ripped through the pretty tourist town, my skin prickled. I imagined the grand Ghazala Gardens in the string of luxurious hotels in the busy Naama district full of wrecked cars, ruined buildings, broken glas
