Overcoming numerous difficulties, the Indonesia-GAM peace agreement was finally signed. But concern over a failed peace looms large.

IN Helsinki, over 12,000 kilometers away from Aceh, the peace negotiations between the Government of Indonesia and the Free Aceh Movement (GAM) finally ended with the signing of an agreement on Monday of last week. In Finlands Government Banquet Hall, the parties agreed to end the 30-year armed conflict in Aceh.
