THE names of Dr Azahari and Noordin M. Top came to prominence after the Bali bombing on October 12, 2002. The two have been eluding capture, always slipping away when the police closed in on them.

Azahari, a graduate of statistics from the University of Reading, England, is a skilled bomb maker. Noordins job is to recruit volunteers. He convinces the groomsas the suicide bombers are knownthat they will go to heaven when they die.
