Not all asylum seekers in Australia have been as fortunate as the 42 Papuans. The fate of many has been uncertain for years. Some have been returned to their country of origin to face imprisonment.

A DISPLAY of traditional Papuan music and dance was held simultaneously in downtown Sydney and Melbourne, Australia, last Sunday afternoon. In Melbourne, the performance was held at the State Library on Swanston Street. Meanwhile, in Sydney, it was held at North Hyde Park. Guests from political parties and other public figures attended this original Papuan artistic performance and sampled traditional food.
