It was a conversation between Lt. Col. Pengasihan Gaut and a United Nations official one day in 1999. Gaut, 51, was undergoing an English test to join the Garuda contingent to Bosnia. She challenged the Irish examiner, who promised he would write the Police Chief a special letter if she passed.
