Prosecuting attorneys in the case of BLBI funds were hand-picked. But it was no assurance of success.

THERE are many ghosts and demons. This was the warning which was often conveyed by Attorney General Hendarman Supandji to the prosecuting attorneys in the Bank Indonesia Liquidity Assistance (BLBI) funds case. The ghosts which Hendarman was talking about were not actual ghosts, but temptations, including money which could make their eyes light up and get them to lower their guard.
