What is the difference between the Old Order and the current New Order?

There’s a difference, there’s progress, but not much.

THIS imaginary dialog is found in the first paragraph of a piece in the July 31, 1967 edition of Kompasiana. At the time, the New Order was still in its infancy. The column was questioning Suharto’s decision to appoint Roeslan Abdulgani as Indonesia’s permanent representative to the United Nations. Whereas there
