Wilfridus Joseph Sabarija Poerwadarminta (September 12, 1904-November 28, 1968) was among the first Indonesians to introduce Bahasa Indonesia to the world after the historic Youth Congress in 1928 which gave birth to the Youth Pledge confirming Bahasa Indonesia as the language of the nation.
