Bosses of prominent coal mining companies are banned from traveling overseas over non-payment of royalties. The extended dispute over coal taxes and royalties has spanned four finance ministers and is unlikely to end soon.

ON Sunday night two weeks ago, M.S. Hidayat, Indonesian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (Kadin) Chairman, flipped through his cellphone directory. Having found the number, he called the person in question-Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati.
