THERE is no longer any black smoke spewing from the chimney. Having been abandoned by the owner, this plywood processing mill in Waisarisa, Western Seram, Maluku has not been operational for a long time. Quiet. Unoccupied. Only the top parts of dilapidated buildings remain. There is not a single trace of the past golden times.
