The Bima from Blitar

Born to a modest family, Boediono was brought up with an ambitious ideal: to study abroad. His father, who went blind in middle-age, diligently worked closely with his children in their studies.

ON the floor of an old house in Blitar, Boediono recalled some parts of his childhood. With a piece of chalk in his hand, he moved about from one quarter to another drawing just anything that came to his mind.
