Death from Room 1808
After a respite of almost four years, Jakarta was staggered by terrorist bombings at the JW Marriott and Ritz-Carlton hotels. Nine people died, including two suspected of being the perpetrators. Staying in Room 1808 at a cost of US$140 per night, the attackers brought in the bomb components in stages. It was two direct hits on Friday morning last week.

OVER a dozen top executives had gathered at the JW Lounge, JW Marriott Hotel in Mega Kuningan, South Jakarta. Breakfast was already being served.
