RISMA Soleha’s foot deftly operates the pedal of a kejek, a manual embroidery machine. Her fingers draw the embroidery needle over a red flower motif on material for a headscarf. Sometimes she takes a break, then deftly reconnects broken thread or replaces it if the roll of thread comes off the spool.
