THE names of eight senior police officers vying to be the new National Police Chief were submitted early last month to the National Police Commission Chairman, Djoko Suyanto. One among them will be picked to replace General Bambang Hendarso Danuri. “I received them one or two weeks ago,” said Djoko, who is also the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal & Security Affairs, speaking to Tempo last week.
