HUNKERED down in the Soepomo meeting room at the Ministry of Justice & Human Rights, the committee formed to select the next Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Chairman carefully examined a variety of documents. Working through from after lunch until sunset two weeks ago, they scrutinized 620 letters and emails containing messages of support or objections to the 144 candidates that passed the first stage of the selection process.
