ABU Tholut was reportedly preparing a series of terrorist attacks in North Sumatra. Going by various aliases, including Imron Byhaqi, Hafaid Ibrahim, Prana Yudha and Mustofa, this 48-year-old is known as a leader of a number of training camps for members of Jemaah Islamiyah (JI). Abu Tholut—his most popular name—is said to be one of the founders of the JI.
