Deposits worth Rp1.3 trillion in a Swiss bank, belonging to the old Bank Century owners and which should have been confiscated by the state, are in danger of not being recovered. Bank Century’s new management is accused of negligence. Even the government does not seem serious about this.

IT began with a letter from the Swiss government received in September last year. It said that there was a dispute over the ownership of bank deposits valued at over US$155 million or about Rp1.3 trillion in Dresdner Bank, involving Bank Century and its previous owners. The case was being handled by the Zurich District Court.
