Pertamina's celebration of its 54th anniversary early last December was marred by a bit of bad news. The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) announced it would look into what appeared to be a questionable case at this state-owned company.

The problem seems to be a lease agreement involving a liquefied natural gas (LNG) tanker named the Ekaputra. Owned by the Humpuss Intermoda Transportasi company, Ekaputra had been leased to Pertamina since 199
