Miranda's Rights

The KPK finally indicted Miranda Gultom in a 2004 bribery case that saw her elected Bank Indonesia senior deputy governor. Although initially slow to act, the KPK move is expected to lead to the identity of the real financial backer who paid DPR members to ensure her victory.

Wearing a pullover outfit draped in a shawl, Miranda Gultom got out of her Black Toyota Alphard. Carrying a maroon Sergio Rossi bag, this 62-year-old economist and former banker moved quickly into the spacious yard of her home in South Jakarta. Her hair was dyed black cherry.
