The first group of Kampung Ambon residents at the Permata Housing Complex used to live in what was the Stovia Building. They lived exclusively, secluded from their surroundings.

One heritage of Dutch colonial times in Senen, Central Jakarta, is still in good shape. Resembling a fort, this building which today is the national awakening museum has not changed much. It was last renovated in April 1973, when the roofing over some its rooms collapsed.
