Wearing white shorts and a red polo shirt, Akil Mochtar received Hambit Bintih as a guest at his official residence in the Widya Chandra complex of South Jakarta, on September 20, 2013. Akil, chief justice of the Constitutional Court, sat in a chair by the door. Hambit, seated at a table, sat facing the porch, sipping a cup of tea. He spoke about how he, representing PDI-P, had won the Gunung Mas regency election in Central Kalimantan.
