Importers used various means to illegally bring cheap rice from Vietnam into Indonesia. Gita Wirjawan, the trade minister at the time, is charged with allowing this impropriety to occur.

OVER a dozen officials from the Customs Directorate General were scouring through eight shipping containers filled with 200 tons of rice.
